Copper Kettle - Bob Gibson - Yes I See (Vinyl, LP, Album)

Yes I See, an Album by Bob Gibson. Released in on Elektra (catalog no. EKS; Vinyl LP). Genres: Singer/Songwriter.

Recorded during the peak of Gibson's triumphant run at Chicago's legendary Gate of Horn, as well as his brief (but celebrated) teaming with kindred folkie spirit Hamilton Camp, "Yes I See" is an experimental mix of traditional ballads ("Copper Kettle," "Gilgarry Mountain"), bluesy offshoots ("Trouble in Mind," "Motherless Children"), and gospel rave-ups ("You Can Tell the World," "Well Well /5(3).

For Yes I See () -- his second Elektra Records outing -- Bob Gibson (guitar/banjo/vocals) returns the subject matter to comparatively traditional folk. Another significant disparity between this long-player and his label debut Ski Songs () is the occasional shot of gospel, thanks in large part to the prominent -- but never overbearing -- vocals from Bessie Griffin & the Gospel Pearls.

BOB GIBSON Vinyl Records and CDs: New York-born folk singer Bob Gibson was a star of the lates/earlys folk revival. He sang Traditional Folk songs as well as his own compositions, and he frequently collaborated with songwriter and illustrator Shel Silverstein. Gibson was a master of the twelve-string guitar, able to pick intricately.
