 · Hunky Dory is rarely mentioned when people discuss Bowie's best works but it is a stand out album from start to finish. It's definitely in his top 5 best records. This pressing doesn't seem to be marred with errors like the Rise and Fall of Ziggy Stardust was thankfully.5/5(11).

  1. The good news first: 'Changes' is a pop classic, despite some awkward poetry. 'Life on Mars' may be Bowie's best song. The production is first rate, and the idea is quite compelling, although once again the lyrics are inept. 'Queen Bitch' is a nice little rocker. The bad news: the rest of the album/5().

  2. Manufactured by Pye Ltd., Auckland, NZ. This first issue used a retouched and cropped version of the back cover design on both sides of the sleeve (including credit for George Underwood for the absent front cover artwork). Single, matt sleeve with pinched spine and lyric insert. Side 2, track 3 credited to 'David Bowi' on the label/5(14).

  3. Gem Production / Mainman credited reissue of David Bowie - Hunky Dory; includes 2-sided sepia-print paper insert with lyrics. [Gem Production and Mainmain logos on back cover, also mentioned on labels]. (Bottom-left on back cover is an obscured print of the previous USA printer, retouched by Stace Printers). B1 is 2 segued tracks.
